Current news events and political issues were examined through reviews of the morning newspapers; interviews with journalists, newsmakers and legislators; and viewer telephone calls, faxes and electronic mail. In the first segment, Mr. Leubsdorf discussed the 1996 presidential campaign and other topics. In the newspaper roundtable, Mr. Schorr and Mr. Forbes discussed Mr. Forbes' possible presidential candidacy and other headline stories. In a taped interview, Mr. Perot talked about the upcoming Dallas meeting of United We Stand America. Reps. Hayworth, Hilliard, Nethercutt and Barrett reminisced about the 104th Congress. In the final segment Rep. Vento talked about the Whitewater Investigation hearings which the House Banking Committee begins today. close
