Current news events and political issues were examined through reviews of the morning newspapers; interviews with journalists, newsmakers and legislators; and viewer telephone calls, faxes and electronic mail. In the first segment, Mr. Zehren talked about the House and Senate Whitewater hearings. In the newspaper roundtable segment, Ms. Buchanan and Mr. Greenberg discussed the morning headline stories. Mr. Zajac described an envelope he designed to go with the President Nixon postage stamp. Ms. Malloy and Ms. Michelman debated abortion issues.
