Women’s groups' representatives, Clinton administration officials, and others celebrated the 75th anniversary of women’s suffrage. In 1920, the 19th Amendment mandated that people could not be prohibited from voting because of gender. The post office was also issuing a commemorative stamp honoring Alice Paul, the founder of the National Woman’s Party, and a general women’s suffrage stamp. Several historical re-enactors were also present. close
