Current news events and political issues were examined through reviews of the morning newspapers; interviews with journalists, newsmakers and legislators; and viewer telephone calls, faxes and electronic mail. In the first segment, Mr. Prosser talked about the Library of Congress’s new exhibit on the Bibliotheque Nationale de France. In the newspaper roundtable, Mr. Haig and Ambassador Pickering discussed current news stories, including events in Bosnia and the United Nations.
