The Senate Labor and Human Resources Committee held this hearing over the concerns of health insurance for mothers and newborns hospital stays. Committee members led by Committee Chairman Senator Nancy Kassebaum, R-Kansas heard testimony from physicians and mothers and fathers on legislation that would require health insurance plans to provide at least two days of postnatal hospital care for mothers and infants. close
