In the first segment, Ms. Jones talked about current headlines, including the Senate’s continuing debate over welfare reform. Mr. Sherman talked about the Georgia legislature’s failure to alter its congressional districts after a Supreme Court decision ruled the current system unconstitutional. In the newspaper roundtable, Representatives Riggs and Reed talked about current news stories, including welfare reform and the crime bill.
