The Supreme Court Historical Society sponsored an event about the British Judicial System with Harry Woolf. Lord Woolf, whose position is equivalent to a U.S. Supreme Court justice, compared the supreme British appellate court with the U.S. Supreme Court. There are ten Lords of Appeal in Ordinary in Britain. He emphasized the British judicial system was much more intertwined with the executive branch of government. He also spoke about his experiences over the years at several Anglo-American judicial conferences.
