President Clinton visited the city of Santa Ana, California while on a five-state campaign tour. Those gathered for the event included the Boys & Girls Clubs, representatives of Taco Bell, and Shaquille O’Neal. Taco Bell is working in conjunction with the Boys & Girls Clubs on an alliance program called Teen Supreme. The president recognized Shaquille O’Neal for his hard work and success. He thanked the professional basketball player for his work with young Americans and for being a positive role model. President Clinton also commented on the need to increase the police presence on the street to increase safety and reduce crime. close
