The Close Up Foundation sponsored an event which featured a discussion on the recent United Nation conference and non-governmental organizations conference on women’s issues which took place in China. Minh Chau Nguyen of the World Bank and Dorothy Thomas with Human Rights Watch talked about why they went to the conference, what happened there, and the impact the meetings will have on women’s status throughout the world. They also took questions from the audience of senior citizens. Close Up Foundation’s Anne Nicholas moderated the conversation. close
