President William Jefferson Clinton awarded the 1995 National Medal of Arts, the nation’s highest cultural honor, to artists and patrons of the arts, including an educational organization. He also presented the 1995 Charles Frankel Prize in the Humanities to five individuals. First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton shared the stage with the President, and helped present the awards to the recipients. Bob Hope was one of the recipients. close
