Presidents Clinton and Zedillo spoke on the potential of the partnership between the United States and Mexico. The leaders acknowledged some difficulties between the two countries, such as the recent bailout of the Mexican currency and illegal immigration. They stressed the need for continuing cooperation to solve these and other problems. President Clinton expressed sympathy on behalf of the nation for the recent disaster in Mexico caused by an earthquake. The leaders also took questions from reporters.
