At the start of the Bosnian proximity peace talks from Dayton, Ohio, Secretary of State Warren Christopher talked with reporters about the value of the negotiations and the possible use of U.S. troops to resolve the conflict. He was joined at a round table by the presidents of Croatia, Bosnia and Serbia, who shook hands with each other. European Union Mediator Carl Bildt and Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov also talked about the peace talks. close
