LT. General Howell Estes, U.S.A.F. Joint Chiefs of Staff, briefed reporters on the latest developments in the Bosnia peace mission. The U.S. troops are scheduled to be fully deployed and ready for operations on 19 January. He spoke about the continuing work to construct a bridge to transport troops across a river on the Croatian-Bosnian border. After his remarks, he took questions from the press.
