Current news events and plitical issues were examined through reviews of the morning newspapers; interviews with journalists, newsmakers and legislators; and viewer telephone calls, faxes and electronic mail. In the first segment, Mr. Crawford talked about current issues including the upcoming elections. In the newspaper roundtable, Mr. Curry and Mr. Fund talked about Presidential candidate Steve Forbes. Jill Fishman, a student at Quincy High School in Quincy, MA, talked about her first Presidential vote by telephone. In the Point/Counterpoint segment, Mr. Stahlman and Mr. Anderson debated the idea of universal access to e-mail. In the next segment, Mr. Curry talked about the updated version of the White House internet web page by telephone. In the following segment, Mr. Carville talked about political issues including the Presidential campaigns. In the final segment, Mr. Lamn talked about current issues including Social Security. close
