Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) Chairman L. William Seidman held a press conference following actions the FDIC took acquiring 20 of the troubled Texas banking group Mcorp’s 24 banks. This was part of the ongoing savings and loan crisis and energy market bust of the late 1980's. Bill Taylor, Federal Reserve Board Staff Director of Banking Supervision and Robert Clarke FDIC Comptroller of the Currency also answered questions. close
