Participants briefed reporters on a “Green Scissors '96” report which recommended cutting 47 federal programs which would save $39 billion. The report also considered these programs dangerous to the environment. The coalition is composed of four groups: Friends of the Earth, Taxpayers for Common Sense and the U.S. Public Research Interest Group. close
