After returning from a recent trip to several Middle Eastern nations, Minister Louis Farrakhan, Nation of Islam Leader, spoke about the status of African Americans in the wake of the Million Man March in a Saviour’s Day Speech honoring the birth of Fard Muhammad, the founder of the Nation of Islam. He also spoke about his visits with foreign leaders, including Gadhafi in Libya and Hussein in Iraq. He also replied to Rep. King’s call for congressional hearings into his recent trip by stating, “Bring me before Congress. It’s time for a showdown anyway.” He spoke to an auditorium filled with supporters, who frequently cheered and applauded his remarks. An audience member concluded the event with a prayer. close
