Current news events and political issues were examined through reviews of the morning newspapers; interviews with journalists, newsmakers and legislators; and viewer telephone calls, faxes and electronic mail. In the first segment, Mr. Duffy talked about the morning headlines including the presidential nomination process. In the newspaper roundtable, Mr. Jeffrey and Rep. Richardson discussed current issues including the presidential primaries and international politics. Mr. Curry talked about his first vote and interests in politics. In the next segment, Rep. Chapman spoke about regulatory reform bill. In the following segment, Mr. Ramsden talked about the Westminster College’s commemoration of Winston Churchill’s speech at the college.
