Labor & Human Resources Committee and Chairwoman Senator Nancy Kassebaum, R-Kansas, heard testimony concerning S.581, The Right to Work Act, which would ensure that non-union workers who work in unionized facilities do not have to pay union dues. Senator Lauch Faircloth, R-North Carolina sponsored this bill, and Representative Robert Goodlatte, R-Virginia, sponsored similar legislation in the House. The National Right to Work Act would make the whole country a right to work jurisdiction. close
