Committee members heard testimony from the three nominees and Mr. Nader concerning their approaches to economic and monetary policy. President Clinton nominated Mr. Greenspan for a third term as Chairman of the Federal Reserve, Ms. Rivlin for Vice Chair and Mr. Meyer as a member of the Board of Governors. Mr. Greenspan also testified about a GAO report that criticized the Federal Reserve for misusing some of its funds. close
