Dr. Thurow spoke about his recent book, The Future of Capitalism. He argued that fundamental forces are changing the nature of the capitalistic economy of the U.S. The fall of communism resulted in large numbers of persons joining capitalism. The U.S. is changing from natural resource-based industries to manmade brain-power industries. In addition, U.S. society will soon be the first in history to be dominated by the elderly. close
