Current news events and political issues were examined through reviews of the morning newspapers, interviews with journalists, newsmakers and legislators; and viewer telephone calls, faxes and electronic mail. In the first segment Ms. Shannon talked about the death of Commerce Secretary Ron Brown and other stories. In the next segment, Mr. Wilson briefly described the George Bush Presidential Library. Mr. Pinkerton and Mr. Baer talked about the arrest of a suspect in the Unabomber case and other morning headline stories. In the last segment, Mr. Alsobrook by remote connection and Mr. Fawcett described the preparations for the Bush Presidential Library which is now being built in College Station, Texas. close
