Federal Trade Commission and attorneys general representatives briefed reporters on a new initiative to protect consumers from fraudulent credit repair services which convince consumers that they could alter consumer credit records. A person who was defrauded by one of these companies also spoke about her personal experiences with this scam. They also answered reporters' questions. close
