California Democrats gathered for their annual state convention to nominate candidates for state offices, fashion a platform, and other businesses. They also heard several speeches by leading Democrats, including both U.S. Senators from California. In the main address, First Lady Hillary Clinton spoke about the U.S. challenge to face a time of unprecedented changes and opportunities both abroad and at home. She emphasized that President Bill Clinton made numerous proposals to help many citizens and that there was more to accomplish. close
