The International Engineering Consortium (IEC) hosted Larry Atlas of the Common Carrier Bureau of the Federal Communications Committee (FCC). Mr. Atlas discussed the FCC’s role in implementing the 1996 Telecommunications Act. The legislation sought to increase competition and provide more innovation and choice for consumers by deregulating the industry. Following his remarks Mr. Atlas took questions from the audience as moderated by Mr. Downey of the IEC. close
