Administration officials, legislators, and others gathered to observe President Bill Clinton’s signing anti-terrorism legislation into law. Terrorism victims' relatives and advocates and several legislators joined the president as he signed the bill. In his remarks, President Clinton emphasized his commitment to fighting terrorism by stating, “Fighting terrorism is and will for a long time to come to be one of the security priorities of the United States.” He also outlined several ways in which this legislation would help law enforcement combat both international and domestic terrorism. close
