Ralph Nader, who is the 1996 Green Party presidential candidate, spoke to students at Haverford College about his perspectives on the present state of U.S. politics. He argued that both the Democratic and Republican parties basically support the concerns of business and other special interests at the expense of most citizens. He also emphasized the need for actions by individuals to regain control of the political and economic system in order to serve their needs, rather than corporate greed. After his prepared remarks, he took questions from the audience. close
