The House Foreign Affairs subcommittee on Asian and Pacific Affairs held a hearing on the presidential election in South Korea. The election was the first to occur in 16 years after a military coup. Gaston Sigur Jr., the Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs testified before the committee.
