At the Conference on Corporate Citizenship, President Bill Clinton spoke about several ways in which corporations can be more responsive to their employees and the communities in which they are located. He outlined five principles of corporate citizenship: family-friendliness, health and retirement security, workplace safety, employee training, and more labor-management partnership. Then he, Vice President Al Gore, and several business leaders talked about how companies can achieve the first three of these five goals. close
