Senators heard testimony on S. 1237, the Child Pornography Prevention Act of 1995, which updated existing federal laws to prohibit computer-generated forms of material and to broaden the definition of child pornography. Representatives of the administration testified about how to enforce the new law and several experts on child pornography testified about the effects of child pornography on children and those who view it. close
