President Bill Clinton praised the Senate for passing legislation which would raise the minimum wage for all workers by 90 cents to $5.15 per hour. He also urged Congress to send him the final form of the bill so he could sign it into law. He also thanked Vice President Al Gore for his service on the fourth anniversary of his decision to be President Clinton’s running mate. After his remarks, he took questions from the press. close
