Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke to an audience of Arab and Muslim journalists, diplomats, and others about his new government’s perspectives on the Middle East peace process. He emphasized that he is willing to continue negotiations with any nation in the Arab world which also wants to have peaceful relations with Israel. He argued that the Middle East peace process should be conducted as the detente of the Cold War with realistic, attainable package agreements rather than one comprehensive agreement. After his remarks, he took questions from the audience. close
