Current news events and political issues were examined through reviews of the morning newspapers; interviews with journalists, newsmakers and legislators; and viewer telephone calls, faxes and electronic mail. In the first segment, John Wordock of Bloomberg Radio & Television talked about the morning headlines including the recent TWA plane crash and concerns about terrorist activity. In the newspaper roundtable, Ellen Moran of Emily’s List and Peter Thiel of the Independent Institute talked about current issues including terrorism and other security concerns. In the final segment, Sara Bloomfield of the Holocaust Museum talked by remote connection about the Smithsonian Institution’s Holocaust Museum, and a new exhibit entitled "The Nazi Olympics, Berlin 1936". close
