The House voted to pass H.R. 972 to increase the authority of the Attorney General to settle claims for damages resulting from law enforcement activities of the Department of Justice. The House disagreed to the Senate amendment to H.Con.Res. 106, passed by the House May 8, and agreed to a conference. H.R. 7 was passed to amend the Carl D.
