The Senate Intelligence Committee was investigating three recent incidents which are thought to be terrorist bombings: a bomb explosion in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia which killed U.S. servicemen, the explosion of TWA flight 800 which killed 230 persons, and a pipe bomb explosion in Atlanta during the Olympic Games which killed one person. FBI Director Louis Freeh talked about ongoing investigations and two former secretaries of Defense focused on the problem of state-sponsored terrorism. close
