Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Donna Shalala briefed reporters on a recent national drug survey of children ages 12 to 17. She announced that teen use of several major drugs, including marijuana, cocaine, and LSD has increased for the last five years. She also emphasized that these trends began before President Clinton took office. WH Drug Policy Director General Barry McCaffrey talked about administration plans to fight the drug problem. close
