As part of the annual Milton Eisenhower Symposium on defining Generation X, Mr. Liu, a former Clinton speechwriter, discussed how young voters view the 1996 campaign. He disputed current thinking that members of Generation X are apathetic, saying that there are millions in this age group who are interested in politics.
