Mr. Pfeiffer spoke about the coming changes in the computer industry as digital replaces analog technology in more facets of everyday personal and business life. In order to allow the personal computer to become the foundation of a new digital age, he argued that three issues must be addressed: the ease of access to computers and the Internet, cooperation between all facets of the computer, electronic and telecommunications industries and new regulations which allow a convergence of information needs centered around computers to develop. After his prepared remarks, he took questions from the audience. close
