Perot Campaign Speech Mr. Perot spoke to the Yale Political Union, one of the oldest student political organizations in the nation. In his remarks, he emphasized the need to reduce the deficit and reduce the debt by reforming entitlement programs and reducing many frivolous expenditures by the government, especially to benefit special interests. He also stressed that the financial problems facing the nation are serious but not irreversible if people will elect leaders who will address them immediately.
