Undersecretary Stuart Eizenstadt talked about the stabilization of the U.S. economy during the Clinton administration, quoting many statistics of growth in the domestic economy and in international trade. He described projects to encourage peace in areas such as Northern Ireland through increased economic investment and encouraged freer international trade. He also talked about environmental standards and laws against child labor. Following his prepared remarks, he took questions from the audience. close
