C-SPAN’s Washington Journal examined current events and political issues through reviews of newspapers, interviews, and viewer comments. The first segment of the program featured Time Magazine’s Karen Tumulty who discussed her recent article on the U.S. Congress. The second segment featured the Newspaper Roundtable discussion between Jeffery Eisenach, president of the Progress and Freedom Foundation, and Robert Reichshauer, senior fellow of the Brookings Institute. The two men discussed the headlines and stories they found most important in the news. The program also featured a video vignette on the “American Photographs: The First Century” exhibit at the National Museum of American Art. C-SPAN’s J.J. Green hosted the program and moderated the viewer comments. close
