Rep. Leach, the chairman of the House Banking Committee, delivered the keynote address at a conference on investment issues. After reviewing of the 104th Congress, Rep. Leach outlined the agenda for the 105th Congress, especially concerning banking issues. He focused on how the divisions in the federal government will promote moderate legislative action and how these same divisions may make any major changes in the banking industry difficult. After his prepared remarks, he took questions from the audience. close
