Aids Activist Mary Fisher, who served in the Ford White House and spoke at the 1992 Republican National Convention in Houston, spoke about the problems facing women with AIDS. She stressed that most people attend to the needs of homosexual men and children with AIDS, the most stereotypical and apparently tragic cases, while ignoring the rising numbers of women with the disease. She urged the audience to start correcting this imbalance. After her remarks, she took questions from the audience. close
