On the opening evening of a two-day conference on the upcoming Supreme Court term, Supreme Court scholars and reporters discussed the jurisprudence of the Court over the past five years. They examined whether this Court, on which six of the nine justices were appointed by Presidents Reagan and Bush, has fundamentally changed how the Constitution is interpreted on various issues, such as civil rights and due process.
