The Presidential Advisory Committee on Gulf War Veterans Illness delivered its scheduled final report to President Bill Clinton. He then extended the committee’s existence for another nine months to make sure that chemical weapons did not cause illnesses among Gulf War veterans. This report cites only the physical and psychological stresses of war. In his remarks, he thanked the committee and others for their work on this matter and stressed his commitment to help veterans and to continue the investigation. He also took a question from the press. close
