After their meeting, President Clinton and Secretary-General Annan briefed reporters on the U.S.-U.N. relations. They both talked about the importance of the U.N., and the U.S. role in it. Mr. Annan also pledged to reform U.N. administrative structures and the president pledged to work with the Congress in order to pay the U.N. its proper portion of dues. close
