Mr. Klein discussed the virtues of political dialog and said that progressives can learn a lot from conservatives and vice versa. He emphasized that it is good for the U.S. to have contending outlooks and faiths. He alleged that, during the second Clinton presidential campaign, large donations did buy influence in the White House. He said that campaign finance reform must come from outside through the combined efforts of courageous progressives and conservatives. Following his prepared remarks, he took questions from the audience. close
