Scholars, members of the Bush administration and others talked about the U.S. operations in Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Former Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy Daniel Heimbach and Dartmouth College Professor Laurence Radway summarized their papers on Bush’s moral leadership during the Gulf War and the role of mass nationalism in the Gulf War. The other panelists commented on the presentations and made other remarks. This was part of a three-day symposium on the Bush presidency. close
