Political Courage in America
Mr. Beschloss talked about political courage and risk-taking among modern political figures in the United States. He outlined ten changes that have taken place in the last forty years that have made acts of political courage a rare commodity. Mr. Beschloss predicted that the presidency will becom increasingly weaker and thus make it more difficult for presidents to make decisions that involve a great amount of risk. Following his prepared remarks, Mr. Beschloss took questions from the audience. close
