President Clinton met with the leaders of sixteen Caribbean nations and signed a document known as the Declaration of Prosperity and Security in the Caribbean. The document was also signed by the Caribbean leaders in attendance. The president detailed the contents of the Declaration of Prosperity including opening up trade, combatting crime and international drug trafficking.
